Photographers Plea

Due to the nature of how much work that goes in to producing our photography, we ask that you take a read here. A big important plea, is that your are employing creative skills because you like the style of work here and all that is asked is that

  1. Don’t steal our work
  2. Please upload it and share it, BUT PLEASE don’t use filters and adjustments on it

T&C’s and Other Useful Questions

Terms of conditions vary dependent on; what it is being photographed, the usage of the photography work, (where applicable) duration of the use of the work. This will be made clear to you on your invoice or on booking.

Making a Booking

How do I secure a booking

To secure a date, a 50% deposit of your final invoice should be payed.

Booking Fee's and Cancellations

Cancellations

Once the Client has made a booking for a specific time and date, 0161 Studio will not accept any other work from other clients for those times and dates. (b) As a result, once a booking is made, if it is subsequently cancelled, a cancellation fee will be charged to the client according to the following schedule. When a client cancels a booking within two weeks of any confirmed date, a fee of 50% of the booked time rate will be charged. When a client cancels photography within one weeks of any confirmed date, a fee of 100% of the booked time rate will be charged. In addition to this cancellation fee, the client will be charged for any expenses already incurred by 0161 Studio

Rebooking

Rebooking a shoot can be done free of charge 14 days before any confirmed date.

If you rebook within 7 – 14 days before a confirmed booking you will incur a £25 charge.

Last minute rebooking up to 7 days can incur a full rebooking charge and any expenses already incurred.

Limitation of Liability

In the unlikely event that 0161 Studio is unable to perform to the guidelines of this contract due to an injury, illness, act of God, act of terrorism, or other cause beyond the control of 0161 Studio, then we will make every effort to secure a replacement. If the situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the contracted event / photo session.

In the unlikely event that digital files have been lost, stolen, or destroyed for reasons beyond 0161 Studio’s control, including but not limited to camera, hard drive, or equipment malfunction, 0161 Studio’s liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the contracted event. The limit of liability for a partial loss of originals shall be a prorated amount of the exposures lost based on the percentage of total number of originals.  0161 Studio is not liable for the loss of images beyond the lesser of the final delivery of all products included in the package or one year. Neither party shall be liable for indirect or consequential loss.

General FAQ

How will I get to see the photography from our photo session

Proofing works either by;

Online gallery –  where you will be able to view and select your images

Private viewing session – a meeting in person to go through and select the images

Post – A contact sheet will be sent with thumbnails from the session

This should take up to 7 working days

What happens once I make my selection? How do I get my images?

Once you have decided on your final images, your images will be edited and processed as required. You will be notified when your images are ready.

Retouching can take up to 21 working days

Images are sent via download link for free

For larger quantities a USB is available which can be posted starting at £10

Delivery Time and Turnaround

Retouching and Postproduction has a standard turnaround of 21 working days.

Faster turnarounds are available when possible and at a premium.  Please enquire for; next day and five day turnaround.

Copyright and Licensing

Creative License and Interpretation

0161 Studio Strive to bring the highest quality work. The work here is representative of what you should expect to receive.

Copyright

Copyright is automatically by law always retained by the photographer. Any photographic works belong to the photographer at no point is it assumed otherwise although it can be purchased or transferred. Requests for copyright must be put in to writing and are chargeable.

Licensing

All photographic works are licensed with specific usages. The licenses are dependent on the type of work, who will be using the image, how it will be used, for how long and where it will be used. Ensuring both client and photographer can establish a fair deal for the usage of the works produced.

Using works that have not been licensed is classed as a breach of copyright and contract.
